Who we are
Yorkforte Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the controller of your personal data collected through this website. Registered office: 9 Victoria Street, Rothesay, PA20 0AJ, United Kingdom. ICO registration number: ZC267506. Contact: richard@yorkforte.com.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect the details you enter (such as your name, email address, company and message). Our website host and spam protection also process technical data such as your IP address. Our website statistics tool (Jetpack Stats, provided by Automattic) records anonymous visit data such as pages viewed, referring site, browser, device and approximate location.
Why we use it
We use contact form details only to read and reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us) and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We use website statistics to understand how the site is used and to improve it, also on the basis of legitimate interests. We do not use your details for marketing unless you separately agree.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the site and handle enquiries: our website host, our email provider, Automattic (Jetpack Stats) and Google reCAPTCHA (see Cookies). We do not sell your data.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across sites. Our statistics tool (Jetpack Stats) counts visits without setting tracking cookies. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against spam and abuse. Google may set cookies and collect technical information (such as your IP address and browser details) when the form loads. This is covered by Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms. Fonts on this site are served from our own server.
International transfers
Google, Automattic and some of our other providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 6 months. If we work together, we keep relevant records for as long as the law requires (for example, six years for company and tax records).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it (including website statistics), or to receive a copy. Email richard@yorkforte.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
